Instructions

Cut an 8.5” x 5.5” rectangle from White Cardstock to make card liner. Use the template provided, craft knife and self-healing mat to cut out the Chipped Sapphire card front; or if you have a machine that cuts an SVG file, you can download the file here.

Step1

Cut the following pieces using the Vagabond Machine: Moon from Watercolor Paper; Banner from White Cardstock; two Hearts and Stars from Red Cardstock; Stars from Chipped Sapphire Cardstock. (Note: Do not score the card pieces yet. We will do this in a later step.)

Step2

Cut a 9” length of White Paper String. Working on the Non-Stick Craft Sheet, color the string with Festive Berries Distress Stain. Let dry or speed dry with Heat it Craft Tool.

Step3

Cut the string in half. Tie one half into a bow, trimming ends if needed. Glue the other half between the two hearts using Wonder Tape and the Collage Glue Stick.

Step4

Attach string to inside of card with Wonder Tape as shown. The length of the string that is exposed should be approximately 3”.

Step5

Apply Wonder Tape around the edges of the card.

Step6

Remove adhesive liner from the Wonder Tape and apply a generous layer of Collage Glue Stick to the card. Then place the white card liner flush with the blue card front to glue together. (Note: The reason for using the Wonder Tape and the Glue Stick together is so you have a strong hold from the Wonder Tape and the Glue Stick allows you to use less Wonder Tape and gives you a little wiggle room in case your pieces don’t line up properly when you glue them together.)

Step7

Place card on a scoring board (or use a ruler) and use a bone folder to score the card down the middle.

Step8

Place the Chipped Sapphire Marker into the Spritzer Tool. Move the heart away from the circle and squeeze tool to create light splatters on the white portion of the card.

Step9

Place the Picket Fence Marker into the Spritzer Tool. Squeeze tool to create splatters on the blue portion of the card and the heart. (Note: The ink from the Picket Fence Marker gets darker as it dries. You may want to test on a scrap piece of paper so you get the desired result.)

Step10

Paint the Moon on the textured side of Watercolor Cardstock with Brushed Pewter Distress Paint. Set aside to dry or speed dry with Heat it Craft Tool.

Step11

Fold the banner as shown and stamp the sentiment using Vermillion Archival Ink. Use Mini Blending Tool and Foam and edge the banner with Chipped Sapphire Ink.

Step12Ink the moon using Chipped Sapphire Ink on Foam, and then outline the edges with Chipped Sapphire Marker.

Step13Find the words “and” & “back” in the Chit Chat Stickers. Mat them with blue cardstock. Glue all the pieces to the card as shown using Matte Multi-Medium.
